Towards a Healing Curriculum: Addressing Cultural Inclusion for the Indigenous Sadri Community in Bangladesh

Bangladesh is a Southeast Asian country where the indigenous people of northern and southeastern region speak variety native languages. But none their languages included in main curriculum for teaching or learning. As result, these are often not motivated to send children school. The language policy does include core curriculum. Though government has started an initial plan introduce education mother tongues five major country, they yet implemented. A large number studies have emphasized need inclusion through using indigenous/minority improve literacy deprived people, but no step been officially taken any as mode classroom instruction Bangladesh. Thus my paper investigates impact mother-tongue based intervention adopted research study expand possibilities cultural approach Sadri community While working with participants I felt healing that will help cope learning struggles. My proposes reduce differences maintain ecology (Cajete, 2000; Cardoso & Jimenez, 2015) within communities inclusion. also advocate concept foster (Richardson, 2011) counter identify dysfunction design settler-colony context.
